Apex Equity Partners was founded in September of 2021 by Nick Boehm and Griff Shelley. Apex EP grew from a mutual interest its founders had in developing bespoke, private real estate investment opportunities. Apex EP is best described as a boutique investment firm, partnering with a highly exclusive group of both individual and institutional investors.

Our goal is to provide exceptional returns to our investors while contributing to the affordable housing market in the state of Texas. Our development model focuses on modernizing affordable living solutions from a technical and environmental standpoint. Smart. Green. Sustainable.

Nick’s passion for real estate investing has always been present. Raised by two geography professors, locations and how people interact with places has been at the center of his life since a young age. After graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Nick took his first major step into real estate by obtaining his Master of Science in Real Estate from Texas A&M University, a top three program worldwide. Nick has worked in the operations side of multifamily investment, as well as development and investment underwriting, and is now ready to begin his next career step by founding Apex EP.

Griff has worked in both the public and private sectors in advisory roles across the board, consulting with everyone from high school students on their career goals to vice-presidents of fortune 500 companies on their tech and IT needs. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication and from Auburn University with a master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition. The driving force behind both of these moves: study how to make the message matter. While Real Estate Investing is a new frontier for him, ensuring stakeholders have all of the information they need to make educated decision is not.

Our investment strategy and business philosophy are straightforward: provide durable returns for our investors through economically and ecologically sustainable real estate investing and development practices. We use high-quality and eco-friendly building methods from the design phase to point-of-sale to ensure that the real estate solutions we produce bring lasting value to their owners and occupants.   

We also pride ourselves in being an agile shop. This means that we’re currently investing in “right-sized” deals that meet Houston’s need for affordable housing. We’re also working to establish ourselves as a reliable real estate equity team with a reputation for developing quality housing and storage solutions. In the future, we’ll leverage this reputation to secure larger, multi-family housing and commercial real estate deals that produce consistent revenue for their owner/operators and sustainable real estate solutions for their occupants.
